Gena Guerin earned her PhD in Kinesiology, specializing in Exercise Physiology with additional training in nutrition. She has an MS in Exercise Science and Health Promotion; Rehabilitation track and a BS in Recreation; Fitness Management.

For over 25 years, Gena worked in the field of health and fitness. She has been a gym owner, consultant, director of personal training, personal trainer, group exercise instructor, and massage therapist. She has worked in many settings from corporate to private and institutional.

Gena has broad research interests including metabolic conditions like hypothyroidism and diabetes to nutrition and wellness. She has recently started a research project investigating diabetes and sleep, mood, stress, and physical activity.
